COACHES
Coaches are the developmental drivers of student-athletes in the Georgia Cycling Association.
As a cycling coach, you have the opportunity to be a positive influence on the lives of Georgia’s youth. You do not need to be an experienced mountain biker to be a Georgia Cycling Coach, you only need to possess a desire to mentor youth.
Licensed coaches have been trained in topics that include risk management, team management, ride management, and youth sports psychology. This training and education will help create a safe, positive, and fun environment for our student-athletes.
There are three coaching levels, all of which require a background check, concussion training, and abuse awareness reporting. Increasing coaching levels include additional requirements such as First Aid, CPR, and Mountain Bike Skills training. We welcome all new volunteer coaches.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer coach, please let us know.
